Candela GentleMax Laser
It is time to be rid of painful waxing, razors, in-grown hairs, electrolysis and plucking! We proudly offer a solution to our patients that will effectively destroy the hair follicle by using intense pulse light energy without affecting any surrounding skin. Our GentleMax Laser is medically cleared and approved for all skin types, including darker skin tones.
The most commonly-treated areas include:
- lip & chin
- outer ear
A series of six treatments is needed in order to obtain the best results. For your convenience, FPSR provides packaged pricing for Candela GentleMax Laser patients. This payment option allows patients to break down the total price of the six-treatment package into four affordable installments, paid during the first four treatments of laser hair removal.
What does the Candela GentleMax Laser feel like during treatment?
Our Gentlemax is safe, gentle and tolerated much easier than other lasers available on the market today. Our laser has the ability to deliver permanent results with just 4 to 6 treatments. With the patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD), this cooling spray soothes the skin with a quick blast of cryogen. A warm pulse, which is sometimes described as a quick snap, follows the cryogen. Most patients can easily tolerate the treatment without the aid of a topical anesthetic or pain aids. Use of Vitamin A or retinoid products must be eliminated for 3 days before and 3 days following a laser hair removal treatment.
What should I expect after a laser hair removal treatment and in between visits?
You may experience some redness and bumps in the area(s) treated that may last up to a few days. Aloe vera and sunscreen will be applied to the treated areas immediately after for additional comfort. It is best to avoid hot saunas, hot tubs and tanning beds for a few days following your treatment. The use of sunscreen SPF 30 or higher is strongly recommended for the duration of your series to avoid any sunburn. You may notice the hair follicles still visible for up to two weeks following the treatment as the hair sheds and fall out on their own. Hair grows in different growth patterns and cycles and can vary to location, age, and other individual factors. Your appointments will be approximately every 4 to 6 weeks apart. Your physician will discuss the interval with you based on what is best for your needs. You will be asked not to tweeze, wax, or use any type of depilatories in between the visits. Shaving is recommended and encouraged.
Are there any risks in laser hair removal?
Side effects are not readily common but can include redness, bumps and in very rare cases blistering. For a complete list of possible side effects to this procedure, please consult with the physician. Our goal is to take every precaution necessary to ensure your safety with maximum results.
